American Home Schools

Kansas  has a compulsory attendance requirement that can be satisfied at a public school or at a "private, denominational or parochial school," which also includes homeschools. The homeschool, like other private schools, must meet certain basic statutory requirements, such as "competent instructor" and "substantially equivalent" period of time. For legal purposes, homeschools in Kansas are considered nonaccredited private schools.
